Guaranteed Inheritance

Dear Students and Friends,

Today is a thinking lesson. Sometimes we need to be told to just stop and “listen”.

I have a dear friend of mine I call her my “angel” for when I woke up from surgery she was sitting over my bedside watching me sleep praying for me. Anyhow, this beautiful dear sweet woman text me a verse from the Bible the other day that she wanted me to reflect on. See my angel and I lived in the same tiny town where we were neighbors and became close friends. I have since moved out of the area but for awhile we thought we’d both would never leave that paradise.

What we both understood but did not think about at that time was easily found in the verse she sent me as she was packing to leave the tiny town the other day as she was also moving on. I know she felt the same feeling I felt leaving that town and I know this move is as hard for her as it was for me the day I left.

She sent me Esphesians 1:11:
In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, 12 so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. 13 In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is the guarantee[d] of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it,[e] to the praise of his glory.

As you know I am a non-denominational minister and I welcome and I am very open to all religions and belief systems, they interest me and I study them especially the Buddhist beliefs. As anyone that has followed my blog has learned along with me about deities and chakras and meditation with Zen worship.
At the end of the day I am always a Christian and when I practice Jesus is whom my devotions are lifted up to. You are welcome to whatever belief you have.

You see as a Christian I believe our paths are already written for us by our creator and to the true believer we live according to his will. Thus, although we think we are in “control” of our destiny, Ephesians reminds us that we are merely shopkeepers in the mini-mart of life that our creator assigned us. So yes we can make decisions and move around and possibly even direct the outcome of our life’s journey to some extent by our actions or karma but again according to our creators will for us and not of our own desires. So as the passage says when we hope in Glory and hear the word of the spirit and 3rd most important believe in him then we have the guaranteed inheritance.
That my follow followers is the lesson as this should be the the true inheritance that we should seek on earth and the main prize that we focus our energy on.

Money and possessions will do only a few things if that is your main idea of the “great” inheritance. Sure money will buy you some power but one day we all know our power light gets turned off and then what? Maybe if we are lucky enough then we can crawl inside of our lonely possessions and think about what we failed to focus on in life as we take our final breath before we lose it all to death? Boy I hope my angel is there over my side that day. Karma matters.

I have a simple idea how about maybe use this bible passage as a wake up call and start watching over our shop better in life and our concentrated efforts to do the right things towards all of humanity.

Namaste,
Kat

Triple Mantra

Standard

jyl-logo

Dear Students and Friends,
The triple mantra helps us come into a cosmic dance. It helps us to come back to “Neutral Mind”.
It strengthens your mind and magnetic field and keeps negativity away. The one part of this mantra that I really like is it opens us up to be guided by faith instead of fear. If we allow fear to guide us we are blocking ourselves. If we are guided by faith we expand allowing creativity to engulf inside of us.

The Triple Mantra has three mantras that you recite in sequence:
Part One:
Aad Guray Nameh
Jugaad Guray Nameh
Sat Gurray Namen
Siri Guroo Dayv-ay Nameh

Which translated says:
I bow to the primal guru
I bow to the truth throughout the ages
I bow to true wisdom
I bow to the great unseen wisdom

Part Two:
Aad such
Jugaad such
Haibhee such
Naanak Hosee Bhee Such

Which translated says:
True in the beginning
True throughout all the ages
True even now
Pure one, the truth will always be true

Part Three:
Aad such
Jugaad such
HaiBhay such
Naanak Hosee Bhay Such

Which translated says:
True in the beginning
True throughout all the ages
True even now
Pure one, the truth will always be true
(*same meaning as part two)

After you have recited this mantra sit and listen, really just listen.
Namaste,
Kat

Opening a Closed Connection
Consciously Reconnecting

by Madisyn Taylor

If you feel abandoned or cut off from Spirit, know that it is always there for you waiting for you to plug back in.

There may be times when we feel like our connection to the universe is closed. Maybe things don’t seem to be going well in our day, or our lives, or we may feel out of our element. The truth is, the universe is always there for us. We know that we create our experience with our thoughts, and this is another way we need to make a conscious decision about how we want to experience life. It is up to us to do the work of making the connection, because nobody can do it for us, though sometimes the universe may send us wake-up calls.

You can think of it as getting some fresh air. We are always breathing and the air is always around us, surrounding us, moving through us. But we may need to step outside of where we are in the moment—physically, mentally, or emotionally—and make the conscious choice to take a deep breath in order to feel the air coming in and going out. Whether this means stepping outside physically or merely shifting our thoughts, it is only our perception that changes; the air remains the same.

It is just as easy to reconnect with the universe. Using the same technique as a breath of fresh air, a deep breath can bring us back to our center. As we inhale, we fill our bodies with the oxygen needed to replenish our most basic physical needs, allowing the air to circulate within us. Exhaling, we release the stale, the used, the potentially toxic air, removing any blocks that may keep us from going deeper into the stillness that lies at our center where we connect to the universe. Feeling closed off does not need to be a negative experience. When we become conscious of it, we can think of the wholeness of a closed circuit, which allows electricity to connect and flow properly. Our bodies work the same way, and when we make that connection in our minds, it can help bring us back to the connection we seek.
