Mediatation music

Dear Students and friends,

If your Monday is making you a sure candidate for Burnout do not fear it is actually good to recognize early signs of burnout.

 Do you constantly feel tired?

Do you feel like you are just doing your daily tasks to get the job done? Are the majority of them seemingly boring to you?

Do you feel anxious?

Do you feel underappreciated or not valued by your employer or family members?

It is equally important to know that stress  can bring on burnout.

Stress can disguise itself in many ways.

Try this video for a quick mediatation tonight. Namaste

Dear Students and Friends,

There are over 400 million practicing Buddhists. A common misunderstanding is that when you tell others you practice yoga or you are a “yogi” or better yet that you are a yoga teacher some people whom don’t know any better assume you are a Buddhist or a Muslim. I would like to break that misconception as I myself am a non denominational Christian who is a certified yoga teacher. I have married all different couples with all sorts of beliefs including Buddhism.
The 2nd question I encounter again from those who simply don’t understand, is “does your yoga study philosophy interfere with your religious beliefs as a Christian?”. The answer I reply with is “not at all I study all religions to gain further understanding. I encourage you to do the same.”

The Buddha’s story is very interesting as it explains how as a sage he lived and became enlightened. It is written that he was attending a party as a young person and his witnessed a farmer dig and struggle to dig up worms and then he watched a bird eat the worms and he could not understand this concept. Buddha or “Siddhartha Gautama” went off his first time to truly be alone. He sat under a tree and experienced his first trance or mediation.

The Buddha later went on to learn the 4 Noble Truths during his journey to enlightenment as follows:
*Suffering
*Desire and the cause of desire
*Cure for desire
*How to cure illness and achieve Nirvana

Here is a nice story of his life to watch, learn and grow.

Kat

Dear Students and Friends,
Just listen to the words and their meaning. As yogis we search for something more in life, something deeper. As we do the 11 day meditation we start to awaken. Enjoy
Namaste,

“Upside Down”

Who’s to say
What’s impossible
Well they forgot
This world keeps spinning
And with each new day
I can feel a change in everything
And as the surface breaks reflections fade
But in some ways they remain the same
And as my mind begins to spread its wings
There’s no stopping curiosity

I want to turn the whole thing upside down
I’ll find the things they say just can’t be found
I’ll share this love I find with everyone
We’ll sing and dance to Mother Nature’s songs
I don’t want this feeling to go away

Who’s to say
I can’t do everything
Well I can try
And as I roll along I begin to find
Things aren’t always just what they seem

I want to turn the whole thing upside down
I’ll find the things they say just can’t be found
I’ll share this love I find with everyone
We’ll sing and dance to Mother Nature’s songs
This world keeps spinning and there’s no time to waste
Well it all keeps spinning spinning round and round and

Upside down
Who’s to say what’s impossible and can’t be found
I don’t want this feeling to go away

Please don’t go away
Please don’t go away
Please don’t go away
Is this how it’s supposed to be
Is this how it’s supposed to be
